Reining Demo

RTA member Susan Auer hosted a western reining demo for RTA members along with her National Reining Horse Association accredited trainer Jeff in the indoor arena at Far-A-Way Farms.

Jeff and Susan explained the training and exercises involved in developing a good reining horse.

Susan's has worked with Jeff for several years to bring her AQHA gelding "Little" along from a green youngster to a lovely reining horse that is capable of many maneuvers. Susan demonstrated some lateral movements as well as sliding stops, spins, backing up and more!

We had a huge turnout for the demo and appreciate the info and insight into what it takes to develop a successful reining horse.
