The guidelines below are provided as a courtesy to assist in our primary golas of preserving, maintaining and furthering our network of trails throughout the township. Most are common sense, and will provide the framework necessary to ensure that the club's riding and hiking privileges on private and public space are preserved. 1. The rights of the
property owners, across whose land we are permitted to ride/hike must
be respected at all times. Remember that you are a guest on the land.
When you meet landowners, be courteous and let them know how much you
appreciate the pleasure they are providing you. One irresponsible person
can cause the closing of a trail. 2. Ride/hike the Association
trails only. Riders and hikers must not wander from marked trails and
must stay close to the edge of farmer's fields. You must respect "Trail
closed" signs. Do not use any landowners' schooling facilities, jumps,
training tracks, playing fields, etc. 3. No motorized vehicles
are permitted on the trails. 4. No pets are permitted
on the trails. 5. On private property,
do not jump obstacles unless necessary to do so to follow the trail. Do
not lower or impair any fence you havepermission
to jump. 6. Please report any
damage or repairs needed to trails/fences throughout the year to the tail
maintenance representative. 7. For safety's sake,
riders should always wear helmets and proper riding shoes/boots. 8. Be thoughtful of
landowner's privacy. Dress appropriately and keep voices down. Walk your
horse down any driveway or trail thatpasses
close to a house, or by any pasture where you might disturb livestock. 9. Active participation
to help maintain trails and support the organization is required of all
members. 10. No use of trails
after daylight hours. 11. Do not ride trails
in groups larger than 6 or hike in groups larger than 8. 12. No littering,
cooking/fires or camping on the trails. Copyright
